  Levned	"He immigrated from Denmark in 1882 with his wife, Beathe, 4 year old daughter Margaret, 11 month old child who soon died, and his wife was pregnant. He lived first in Albert Lea, Freeborn Co., Minnesota, in the "New Denmark" part of town on Fountain Lake. He worked for the railroad for 14 years, saving money for his farm, which he bought in Freeborn Township, Freeborn County, Minn. Descendant Lora visited the farm which is near Freeborn Lake. It is a farm of lovely rolling hills and was still a dairy farm with cattle in 2018." (Findagrave.com)

  "Soren Larsen, 88 years old, died at his farm home near Freeborn this morning, shortly after midnight. Death was due to ailments brought on by old age. He had been ill for the past month but in bed only five days prior to his death. He was a hardy pioneer of Freeborn often walking - as late as this fall - the mile and a half to the village. Mr Larsen was born in Denmark and came to America when he was 30 years old. He first lived ar Northwood Iowa and later went to the farm near Freeborn where he has lived continuously for the past 45 years. He was a charter member of the Danish Lutheran Church of Alert Lea. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Margaret Peterson, Albert Lea and Mrs. Nels Rasmussen, Lynwood, Calif.; five sons, Walter of Oakland, Calif.; Spinner of Minneapolis and Adolph of Freeborn. There are also several grand children and great grandhildren. Hia wife and two other children had preceded him in death many years ago. Funeral arrangements have been withheld pending the arrival of Mmrs. Rasmussen and her brother, Walter from California." (Gengivet i Findagrave.com)
